We’re on the beautiful LlÅ·n Peninsula in North Wales, just north of Pwllheli, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Do you allow group bookings?

​

Yes - we welcome small, relaxed gatherings of up to 10 adults (18+) staying across our huts as part of a family or friends’ getaway. For the comfort of all guests, hen and stag parties aren’t accepted.

Can I bring my dog?

​

Yes - Joan and Angharad are dog‑friendly huts. Please let us know about your dog when booking so we can prepare for their stay. Dogs must be kept on a lead while on-site and not left unattended. The surrounding countryside and nearby trails are perfect for exploring with your four‑legged friend.

 

Can I bring my baby?

​

Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts is an adults‑only (18+) retreat. This helps us maintain a peaceful, restorative atmosphere for all guests.

I have a special occasion. Can you help me make it even more memorable?

Absolutely. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, proposal, or simply treating yourself, we love adding thoughtful touches to your stay. We offer a range of extras to suit different tastes and budgets, or you can contact us to chat through what would make your celebration feel just right.

What time is check-in and check-out?

 

Check‑in: 3 pm – 9 pm

Check‑out: by 10 am

Why do you ask for an estimated time of arrival (ETA)?

 

Your ETA helps us make sure everything is perfectly prepared and that we’re available to greet you personally. It ensures a smooth, welcoming start to your stay.

 

Can you recommend any local places to eat and shop?

 

Definitely. The LlÅ·n Peninsula is full of fantastic pubs, cafés, restaurants, markets, and independent shops. We provide curated recommendations in our welcome guide.

Do you have parking?

 

Yes - each hut has its own dedicated parking space for one car..

 

Do you have EV charging points?

 

We don’t have EV chargers on-site, but the nearest charging point is just five minutes away at Aldi in Pwllheli.

Is Wi-Fi available?

 

The huts don’t have Wi‑Fi;  Brook Cottage is designed as a place to switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet. Most guests appreciate the chance to disconnect, though mobile signal is generally available.

Do you have a shop or restaurant onsite?


Sorry, we don't have a shop or restaurant. However, Aldi is a five‑minute drive away for essentials, and there are several great places to eat locally.

 

Do you provide bedding and towels?

 

Yes - all bedding and towels are provided. Please only use them inside the huts to ensure they stay fresh for your stay.

Can I request a change of bedding during my stay?

 

Yes. Fresh bedding can be arranged for a small additional charge of £20 for stays of five nights or fewer.

What should I bring with me?


Most essentials are provided but we recommend bringing anything you might need for outdoor adventures such as waterproof clothing and walking boots. Check out our Top 10 Things to Bring blog for inspiration.

Do you allow BBQs?

​

Yes - every hut has its own firepit/BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining and sunset watching. A starter supply of logs and kindling is included.

​

Can I swim in the lake?

 

No - the lake is a protected wildlife haven, home to herons, moorhens, kingfishers, and more. It’s a beautiful place to sit, relax, and enjoy nature.

What is there to do in the area?

 

So much! From coastal walks and scenic hikes to beaches, villages, historic sites, and adventure activities, the LlÅ·n Peninsula has something for everyone. Explore our Out & About page for ideas.

 

Do the huts have heating?

 

Yes, all of our huts have log burners and electric heaters, so you’ll stay cosy during your visit whatever the weather.

Can I order extra logs and kindling?

 

Yes. Each hut includes a starter supply (usually enough for 1–2 nights). Extra bundles are available for £5 and can be delivered to your hut.

​

Are there places nearby for dog-friendly walks?

 

Absolutely. The Llŷn Peninsula is full of dog‑friendly beaches, trails, and open countryside.

 

Can I book a single night?

 

We have a two‑night minimum stay, or three nights on Bank Holiday weekends, to ensure you have time to fully unwind.

 

Do you allow smoking?

 

No - smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the huts or in shared areas, helping us maintain a clean, comfortable environment for everyone.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

​
