Our stay in this luxury Shepherd’s Hut was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed — from the beautifully crafted interior to the high-end finishes that make it feel like a boutique hotel in the middle of nature.

The hosts were fantastic — They clearly care deeply about their guests’ experience and have created something truly special here.

If you’re looking for a relaxing, and luxurious rural getaway, this Shepherd’s Hut is an absolute gem. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back.

Just returned from 10 lovely days at Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts, thank you to our hosts Joss and Steve for making us feel so welcome.
Our Gypsy hut Elen had everything we needed, lovely and clean with well thought out storage spaces.

A tranquil location overlooking the lake, we were even lucky enough to spend some time watching the Heron.
Located well off the beaten track, in beautiful surroundings, yet within 10 mins drive of towns, villages and beaches.
What more could you want.

I’ve just come back from staying at Brook Cottage Shepherd’s huts for a week. Joss and Steve made me feel really welcome from the moment I got there.
I stayed in Elen, which is the first hut as you arrive. It’s got all of the amenities that you need, cleaver storage space and has a lovely cosy feel.

The setting is beautiful, with the lake, birds and mountains in the distance. You’re in the middle of nowhere but a cracking Spar and Aldi are just 5 mins away.

I’m sure you can tell I really enjoyed my stay, I have no doubt that I will be back.

We stayed four nights in August and had a wonderful time. Joss and Steve were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. So long as you like a cosy, rural experience, these huts are positively spacious and super well-equipped for two people, as evidenced by our Mon-Fri stay! The huts are located in a beautiful part of the Llyn peninsula and - provided you have a car - you can visit everywhere from the western edge of Eryri to Porth Neigwl facing out into the Atlantic. We really enjoyed our peace and quiet, the chance to get away from it all, and the beautiful morning and evening skies.

Definitely recommend this destination set in a few acres of utter peace. If you want somewhere to go that offers complete relaxation and calm this isbthe place
Hut was clean and comfy, well equipped with all you need to enjoy your stay. Felt very safe.
Onsite parking near huts and each hut has their own terrace area with seating where you can BBQ (provided) or just watch the wildlife and the Heron that fishes on the lake.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect, offering stunning views—we were lucky enough to experience both a sunrise and a sunset during our visit. Joss was incredibly welcoming and went her way to be helpful. The area is beautifully peaceful, yet still conveniently close to the beach, shops, and other local amenities. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much.

I almost hesitate to write this review because part of me wants to keep this magical place a secret. It’s unlike anywhere I’ve ever been—so special, calming, and peaceful. I spent hours on my private garden terrace, simply watching nature, gazing at the mountains through the trees, and at night, marveling at the endless stars. The location couldn’t be better, with some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen just a 20–30 minute drive away. Joss and Steve are wonderful hosts—kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Everything inside the hut is carefully thought out and the kitchen is very well equipped. I would recommend this place to everyone, I was devastated to leave and I can’t wait to return.

Amazing shepherds huts set in the quaint countryside, a short drive from Pwllheli. We stayed in the Marared gypsy hut. The hut was beautifully decorated and we had a wonderful view of the surrounding pond and The Rivals Mountains in the distance from our balcony. The bed was very comfy and the hut had all the amenities plus more to make our stay extra comfortable and cosy.... Joss and Steve were incredibly welcoming and friendly hosts. We will definitely be returning in the near future and will be recommending to family and friends.

We had a wonderful stay at Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts. The huts are extremely comfortable and well equipped — perfect for one or two guests. The site is calm and serene, and with a bit of luck you might see a heron visiting the little pond. Steve and Joss are perfect hosts: kind and extremely attentive to their guests. Don't hesitate to ask them for advice about local hikes, shops, pubs and restaurants — they'll be happy to help!

— Christophe

The shepherd's hut was beautifully appointed, clean and cosy. Joss and Steve were really welcoming and happy to give advice about where to visit for food and historical sites which is what we were looking to do....The shepherds huts are in a beautiful quiet spot. We enjoyed walking and talking as we strolled round the lake. All in all my 21 year old daughter and I had a fabulous break and we would highly recommend Brook Cottage if you want to relax and get away from it all.

We have just returned from a beautiful stay at Brook Cottage Sheperd Huts. We stayed in Elen hut. It was a lovely cosy hut with all you need for a little break away. It’s situated in peaceful place with gorgeous views. Lots of lovely places to visit a short drive away too.
Steve and Joss went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome. Thank you we would certainly visit again.

My partner & myself just spent a gorgeous weekend here - staying in the lovely Marared hut. It exceeded all expectations from the stunning views and sunsets to our beautiful cosy hut. Joss and Steve were amazing hosts so thoughtful and kind - the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed so thank you both for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back

What an incredible, peaceful place. My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights. I can't recommend this place enough. Everything we needed was provided. It was quiet, clean, and relaxing. Thanks to Joss and Steve for being helpful and friendly hosts. We will definitely be returning. We both feel refreshed and recharged.

— Ryan

The shepherd hut was fully equipped, tastefully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. Part of my stay was alone and I felt very safe. Loved the fact there was no Wi-Fi or TV to distract from the peace and calm, and was lovely to walk around the small lake or site and watch the wildlife.
The hosts Joss & Steve are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
Lots to see and do in the area and wonderful beaches. The hosts supplied us with a cooler bag, ice pack and a picnic blanket as we had forgotten ours.
We are already looking to return.

— Christine

Absolutely perfect stay. Wonderful hosts and a beautiful retreat away from busy life.
The accommodation has everything you need and is beautifully decorated. The bed is lovely and comfy and we were left a lovely bottle of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. I left a few things at home and Joss was so kind to help me. The surrounding garden and lake is beautiful too.
Really recommend going for dinner or drinks in Abersoch on a evening, it gives you a holiday vibe not many seaside towns give anymore. We loved it.

— Olivia

We had the most wonderful weekend at Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts! The hut was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The setting is truly stunning, with spectacular views of the Rivals—a perfect slice of peaceful Welsh countryside.
A huge thank you to Joss and Steve for being such thoughtful and welcoming hosts. Every detail was clearly considered, and it made our stay feel extra special. We’re already planning our return—highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic escape in Wales!

My mum and I stayed for two nights in the Lady Joan shepherd’s hut for a little holiday. The hut was clean and cosy with a small kitchenette and bathroom and lovely views. The was also a barbecue, fire pit and outdoor seating included with the hut. The owners were very friendly checking us in and out and provided us with soaps and kitchen essentials. There are several small towns within a short driving distance, like Criccieth where we had a lovely meal and enjoyed a short walk on the beautiful beach. Would recommend for a chilled, relaxing getaway.

— Annabel

Absolutely stunning location to stay at, and perfect for exploring the Llyn Peninsula. It was so peaceful, we loved it. We sat outside in the evening and lit the fire pit, enjoyed the sounds of nature and watched the sunset. The owners are so lovely and the personal touches like the handmade soaps, Welsh cakes, and the fruit for the journey home were spot on. Thanks for a perfect weekend.

— Liz

This lovely quiet spot run by Steve and Joss was a perfect getaway to escape. The cosey shepherds huts gave us everything we needed to just relax. The service by Steve & joss was great they were so helpful in giving us some places to visit but also were a delight to chat with. I would highly recommend visiting if your looking to get away and just want to relax.

— Steve

Absolutely wonderful place to spend our 27th anniversary. Our host Joss and Steve went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The communication was faultless and the hut was immaculate and fully equipped with everything we needed for a getaway. The additional information on the surrounding area and recommendations was really helpful. Beautiful setting, immaculately presented and wonderful attention to detail. We will definitely visit again

We had an amazing stay at Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts!
They were so hospitable and every detail had been thought of!
We were able to explore both the mountains and the coast - but didn’t really want to leave the huts.
Thank you for a wonderful visit - would definitely go back.

— Amy

Lovely peaceful sanctuary for a weekend away! Great location to get out and about exploring. The hut was stunning with lots of cute little details and finishing touches. Really loved it here and will definitely be back again.
The hosts were very welcoming and kind.

— Rebecca

Honestly what a beautiful shepherds hut. Loads of personal touches which tells you how much the host really cares. Welsh cakes in the fridge, lactose free milk, local goats milk soap… the list could go on. The hosts were very accommodating and lit the fire for my arrival and on my second night when I had been out all day walking. Very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I will definitely be staying again. Thank you.

— Hayley

We had a fantastic stay. Everything was as described and more. We found the hut charming and perfect and ended up cancelling a number of plans just to enjoy ourselves there and make the most of the booking! The view of the rivals was stunning and we spent countless hours gazing at the lake and the creatures and critters that called it home. The handmade soap and shampoo and the local coffee was a lovely and thoughtful touch. I can’t describe the calmness we felt during our stay there but I hope the above gives a slight insight.

— Daniel

Thank you so much, everything was perfect with our stay, especially letting us check in so late.
A beautiful hut, well designed and ultra comfortable and the log burner was amazing!
We will see you again!

— Paul

We had a lovely, two-night stay in these gorgeous shepherd’s huts. The accommodation was cosy, beautifully designed with all you could possibly ask for in a small space! The hosts were welcoming and responsive. The level of comfort and privacy was excellent. The location is great for exploring the peninsula and the wider Snowdonia area. If you love this sort of glamping, look no further. We will definitely be back.

Excellent accommodation. Immaculately furnished. Extremely Cosy and surprisingly spacious. Excellent bathroom facilities. Central location for Criccieth, Abersoch, Pwllheli & Nefyn. Highly recommend xx
