What a find! This was a last minute booking so we were very happy to have found such an idyllic spot. The shepherd’s hut was a delight, just a short drive from the beaches and amenities of Pwllheli, but such a beautiful setting and so quiet. Joss and Steve were very attentive hosts and leant us maps of the area so we could explore.

We stayed here for 4 nights last week and had a lovely time. The setting is beautiful with lots of wildlife to watch and great views all around. The huts themselves are very well equipped and organised with everything you need for a cosy stay. A great base to explore North Wales and the hosts were very friendly and happy to help with anything. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic location to visit local attractions and beaches. (Portmeirion, Abersoch and Beaumaris were some of the places we visited. Scenic views to relax and enjoy nature and surrounding wildlife. The owners Joss and Steven are very friendly and helpful and are always on hand if there’s anything you needed.

Couldn’t recommend Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts enough. We stayed in the Ellen Hut and found it surprisingly spacious and perfectly equipped for a 3 night stay. We were sad to leave and felt we could have stayed much longer. The area is beautiful and within close distance to towns and national parks with incredible views and hikes. The hosts Joss and Steve were also lovely and very welcoming. A must stay on your trip to North Wales!

Back from a 5 day solo stay and it could not have been more perfect. The shepherds huts are really nicely furnished and the kitchen very well equipped. Everything is really high quality. The site itself is stunning, surrounded by nature, and I experienced the most beautiful sunsets directly opposite my hut! The location is brilliant for exploring the Llyn peninsula but you can also day trip to Anglesey and Snowdonia from here which was fab. Joss and Steve are super lovely hosts, I felt very welcome and knew they were there if I needed anything. Without asking Joss brought me a fan ready for the heatwave and it worked a treat. I had a wonderful stay here and will definitely revisit!

We had a fantastic stay at the Brook Cottage Shepard Huts - would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. A few of the huts are dog friendly so it was great to stay with our dog and he loved it as much as we did. The hut has everything you need, and the beds are very comfy. Joss was amazing, she’s so welcoming and responsive it made everything very easy. Also recommend the location, there’s lots to things to do in the local area. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect little hideaway! we stayed for 3 nights in the Shepherds hut “Angharad” & our only disappointment was that we didn’t stay longer. A fantastic location to all amenities, with dog friendly beaches & countless walks. We had a perfect view of the mountains & watched the sun set each evening. Would highly recommend. There’s fresh eggs available & the loan of hiking poles. We thank our host for the hospitality

Perfect location and set up to switch off. No TV and no WiFi and a log burner helps you do that. Close to Abersoch, Cricceth, and lots of other great locations for walks and chilling out. Dog friendly !!! Will be coming back!

Joss went above and beyond to match her recommendations to our interests and was always available at the end of a message if needed. Her passion for the area and Welsh culture was evident! We stayed in Angharad with our Labrador and loved it - the view out over the Rivals especially was spectacular.

We absolutely adored our time here! Joss was so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The huts are beautifully crafted, and the thoughtful little touches really made our stay extra special- from the delicious Welsh cakes waiting in the fridge to the lovely local goat’s milk soap. We truly appreciated the care that’s gone into every detail. The location is wonderfully secluded, which adds to its charm and makes it the perfect peaceful escape ... We had a wonderful weekend at Brook cottage shepherds hut! Joss was really welcoming and explained everything we needed to know. The huts are very well equipped and the log burner makes them so cosy of an evening and warm the place up really quickly. We throughly enjoyed our weekend exploring the Welsh countryside and the shepherds hut was a perfect base in lovely surroundings! Thank you very much! I really enjoyed my 2 night stay in the shepherds hut ‘Joan’. Upon arrival, Joss made me feel very welcome and explained a few important things about the hut. I chose this accommodation because it is pet friendly and my dog loved having his bed next to the lovely log burner. It’s a relatively compact space but it’s beautifully designed and everything I needed was provided. Overall, it’s a really peaceful place and I’d love to come back for another stay.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect, offering stunning views—we were lucky enough to experience both a sunrise and a sunset during our visit. Just returned from 10 lovely days at Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts, thank you to our hosts Joss and Steve for making us feel so welcome. Our Gypsy hut Elen had everything we needed, lovely and clean with well thought out storage spaces.
A tranquil location overlooking the lake, we were even lucky enough to spend some time watching the Heron.
Located well off the beaten track, in beautiful surroundings, yet within 10 mins drive of towns, villages and beaches.
What more could you want.

Joss and Steve were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. So long as you like a cosy, rural experience, these huts are positively spacious and super well-equipped for two people, as evidenced by our Mon-Fri stay! The huts are located in a beautiful part of the Llyn peninsula and - provided you have a car - you can visit everywhere from the western edge of Eryri to Porth Neigwl facing out into the Atlantic. We really enjoyed our peace and quiet, the chance to get away from it all, and the beautiful morning and evening skies.

I’ve just come back from staying at Brook Cottage Shepherd’s huts for a week. Joss and Steve made me feel really welcome from the moment I got there. I stayed in Elen, which is the first hut as you arrive. It’s got all of the amenities that you need, cleaver storage space and has a lovely cosy feel.
The setting is beautiful, with the lake, birds and mountains in the distance. You’re in the middle of nowhere but a cracking Spar and Aldi are just 5 mins away.
I’m sure you can tell I really enjoyed my stay, I have no doubt that I will be back.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay here - the absolute perfect retreat! A stunning setting, close to quaint villages/beautiful beaches/stunning hikes. It was amazing how private the huts felt, adding to the serene and peaceful feeling of the place. Highlights included watching the birds from our outdoor seating area and seeing the sunset next to the nearby mountain peaks. We will definitely be back!
